Every beat is available under four non-exclusive lease tiers, or you can make an offer for exclusive rights. All leases require the credit “Prod. by Samu Soul”.

The small print, in plain English
Standard lease terms
These terms apply to every non-exclusive lease. The full agreement you accept at checkout is on the licence agreements page.
- Non-exclusive
- Leases are non-exclusive: the beat stays on sale and others can license it too, until it's sold exclusively.
- Term
- Leases last 10 years from purchase, or until you reach the licence's distribution or stream caps, whichever comes first. You can upgrade or renew at any time and pay only the difference.
- Credit
- Credit is mandatory on all releases, in the title or description where the platform allows: "Prod. by Samu Soul".
- Publishing
- Samu Soul retains 50% of the writer's share of the composition (the underlying musical work) on all leases. You keep 100% of the writer's share of your lyrics and topline melody, meaning the composition is typically registered 50% Samu Soul / 50% you (split between all co-writers of the lyrics).
- Your master
- You own the new master recording you create (your vocals + the licensed beat) for the uses allowed by your licence. Copyright in the underlying instrumental stays with the producer.
- No Content ID
- You may not register the beat or your song with YouTube Content ID or any other audio-fingerprinting service on a lease, as this causes false claims against other licensees and the producer.
- No resale
- You may not resell, sub-license, share, or give away the beat itself (with or without changes), or claim it as your own.
- If it sells exclusively
- If the beat is later sold exclusively, your lease remains valid under its original terms until it expires, but it can no longer be renewed or upgraded.
- Sync
- Synchronisation (film, TV, adverts, games, trailers) is not included in any lease. Contact us for a sync licence.
- One song per licence
- Each lease covers one new song. Want to use the beat on a remix or second version? Buy another licence.
Exclusive rights

- Unlimited, perpetual commercial use with all files and stems
- The beat is removed from the store and never licensed again
- Samu Soul keeps the copyright in the composition and a publishing share (typically 50%), agreed in the contract
- Leases sold before the exclusive stay valid until they expire
